Diploma apostille for Turkey.

Sending a Florida diploma to Turkey — typically for citizenship by investment, property — takes exactly one certificate: a Florida apostille from the Department of State in Tallahassee. Turkey is a Hague member, so once the apostille is attached, no consulate or embassy step is needed on the U.S. side.

The part that causes rejections is the document itself: the state will only apostille a notarized copy — the registrar certifies or a Florida notary attests to the copy; original diplomas are never surrendered to the state. The state fee for this document type is $10 — included in our $220 either way — and our pre-filing review confirms your copy is in the right lane before it ever reaches the counter.

Order online from anywhere in the U.S.: we review your documents, then FedEx emails you a pre-paid QR code, your diploma rides to our Tallahassee team, gets walked in to the state counter in person, and comes back apostilled in 5–7 business days. Turkey-side requirements like certified translation are done after — so the apostille certificate is covered too.

How a Florida diploma or transcript is used in Turkey

Florida degrees go to Türkiye for jobs, graduate study and recognition by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), which runs its own equivalence (denklik) process and publishes its own document list. YÖK's general notes single out apostille requirements for certain countries' diplomas, so check what it asks of U.S. degrees before ordering. Employers, work-permit files and universities may still want an apostilled copy. If they do, the registrar must sign the diploma or transcript before a notary at issuance, and a notarized Turkish translation follows.

Translation for Turkey

Turkish offices expect a Turkish translation. Turkish consulates in the U.S. accept a translation by a sworn translator, certified by a U.S. notary and apostilled, which matches our rule: certified by the translator, notarized by a different notary and apostilled in Florida. In Türkiye, a sworn translator's translation approved by a Turkish notary is the alternative. Ask the Turkish consulate in Miami whether the translator must be registered on its list.
