The straight answer.

Here's the legal chain that makes this work: Florida law authorizes remote online notarization (RON) by Florida-commissioned notaries for signers located anywhere. A document notarized by a Florida notary — remotely or in person — is a Florida document for apostille purposes. So you can sit in Ohio, notarize with a Florida notary over video, and have the Florida Department of State apostille the result.

We handle the online notarization ourselves: add it to your order and a Florida-commissioned online notary meets you on a secure video call. Powers of attorney, affidavits, single-status affidavits, travel consents: notarized on camera, printed and certified, walked in to the state. How online notarization works →

In South Florida or Tampa Bay? Skip the video call: bring your unsigned document to a in-person appointment at our West Palm Beach, Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale, Tampa or Clearwater office — in-house notaries notarize it on the spot and the apostille filing starts the same day.

Yes. Florida RON is valid for signers anywhere in the U.S. (and often abroad). The resulting document is Florida-notarized and Florida-apostillable regardless of where you sat during the session.
Notarization isn't included in the $220 apostille price — in-office notarization at an in-person appointment in West Palm Beach, Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale, Tampa or Clearwater is charged separately. Online notarization is an add-on to any order: $40 for the first document ($10 notarization fee + $30 technology platform fee) and $20 for each additional document, plus the apostille itself.
