Notarized Document apostille for China.

Sending a Florida notarized document to China — typically for work visas, marriage registration, and business documents — takes exactly one certificate: a Florida apostille from the Department of State in Tallahassee. China is a Hague member, so once the apostille is attached, no consulate or embassy step is needed on the U.S. side.

The part that causes rejections is the document itself: the state will only apostille notarization by a currently-commissioned Florida notary — in person at our offices, or by Florida remote online notarization from anywhere. The state fee for this document type is $10 — included in our $220 either way — and our pre-filing review confirms your copy is in the right lane before it ever reaches the counter.

Order online from anywhere in the U.S.: we review your documents, then FedEx emails you a pre-paid QR code, your notarized document rides to our Tallahassee team, gets walked in to the state counter in person, and comes back apostilled in 5–7 business days. China-side requirements like certified translation are done after — so the apostille certificate is covered too.

How a Florida notarized document is used in China

The Chinese Embassy's notice is blunt: an apostille confirms the signature and seal, but it doesn't guarantee the Chinese recipient will accept the document, so check format, content, time limits and translation in advance. For notarized documents, that means asking the Chinese side for its template or required wording before you sign. The Florida notarial certificate must be complete and in English, and the Chinese translation must cover everything, including the notarial certificate and the apostille, sealed by a translation agency.

Translation for China

China generally requires a full Chinese translation sealed by a translation agency, often one registered in China, or by the employer for work-permit files. A Florida translation, even certified, notarized and apostilled, may not be accepted, so ask the Chinese office first.
